- In the Dobbiaco Nature Park House you get informed about the natural and cultural landscapes of the Sesto Dolomites and Fanes-Senes-Braies Nature Parks, on the geology of the area, the war events at the Dolomite front, and tourism in the Sesto Dolomites Nature Park. - The museum in Villabassa gives you an insight into tourism around the turn of the century.
- In the Dolomythos Adventure Museum in San Candido you get to know everything about the crystals of the Dolomites and about dinosaurs.
- The South Tyrolean Museum of Ethnography in Teodone comprises an outdoor museum explaining the life of past times. The Mair am Hof mason, a farm dating back to around 1700, is the centrepiece of the museum.

- The world of Loden fabrics in Vandoies explains the production route from the sheep to the processing of wool to Loden.
- Settings from World War I can be seen in the Monte Piana Outdoor Museum and in the Grande Guerra Outdoor Museum in Cortina. Hereby you will also enjoy a fantastic 306° panoramic view.
- Nature parks with numerous animals await you in Carbonin Vecchia and Assling in East Tyrol.
- Minerals from the Hohen Tauern area and from all over the world can be admired in the Aurina Museum of Minerals .
- In the grain storage of the former copper mine in Predoi you can visit a Mining Museum .
- Reindeer at Croda Rossa… at Croda Rossa you can admire real reindeer. In winter you can even enjoy outings on sleighs drawn by reindeer.
- The alpenglow of the Dolomites and the biggest sundial in the world, and the so-called "Sesto Mountain Sundial" comprising the five Dolomite Peaks Nove (Nine), Dieci (Ten), Undici (Eleven), Dodici (Twelve) and Una (One), provide a very special nature show. The sun shines onto the respective peaks at exactly these times.
- The fifth MMM – Messner Mountain Museum by Reinhold Messner will be realised at Brunico Castle. Each year, guests from a different mountain region – Sherpa, Indios, Tibetans, Mongols, Hunza - are to spend their summer in the MMM in order to talk about their way of living. You should also not miss out on the MMM in Bolzano.
- Ötzi, the 5,000 year old glacier mummy can be admired in the Museum of Archaelogy in Bolzano . Worth a visit are the fruit market, the town arbours, the Museum of Modern Art, and Walterplatz Square in Bolzano.
- For a day excursion we recommend visiting the spa town of Merano with the Botanic Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle, the Passer promenade and the thermal baths , to Venice, to Lake Garda or to Verona. Also Trieste to the South and Innsbruck to the North have a lot to offer.
